Mountain communities are as varied as the people who live in them.  Some mountain communities offer countless amenities such as golf, tennis, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, fitness centers, community centers, on-premises dining, gated and guarded security.  Along with the amenities come homeowners’ associations and restrictions typically crafted to protect your investment.  On the other end of the spectrum are properties that are located along county roads in areas without restrictions and neighbors a mile or two away.  So, the community where your home is located can be as important as the number of bedrooms or the size of the lot.
